Bio
I'm Heidi! My pronouns are she, they, & sie :) I love backpacking, vegan baking, good conversations, running on the trail, reading (sometimes even writing), and playing games! I was raised within S’olh Tém:éxw, the homeland of the Stó:lō nations, and I belong to the Fraser watershed and Cascade mountains. To all the caretakers of our planet - past, present, and future - I see you, and I am empowered by you! I look forward to every chance I receive to follow in the footsteps of meine älteren Geschwister, mo pheathraichean mhòr, my older siblings, as I strive to walk boldly, gently, and forward on two legs. Currently at Thompson Rivers University pursuing my undergrad in Geography & Environmental Studies (Honours) with certifications in Leadership in Environmental Sustainability, Global Competency, and in Research. My research interests are currently aligned with urban ecology and planning/design, behavioural/influential sciences related to climate-change mitigation and adaptation, & ecological stewardship (watershed systems analysis, natural services evaluation, and native species protection.)
