Bio
Samara M (she/her) is a Master of Public Health graduate and youth advocate from Toronto. Her expertise lies in youth engagement, health promotion, community-based research and youth-based program planning. Identifying critical processes to decolonize the Canadian mental health system, focusing on intersectionality, equity, inclusion and accessibility is a key area of Samara's work and discussions. Passionate about fostering collaboration and generating opportunities for people with lived and living experiences and equity-deserving groups, Samara aims to enhance the design and experience of the mental health health system for youth. In her free time, Samara finds joy in staying active, playing sports, cooking and reading.
