COMPASS

The COMPASS study is a 9-year Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Health Canada funded study (started in 2012/2013) that follows 70,000+ grade 9 through 12 students and 120+ secondary schools across Canada (Ontario, BC, Alberta, Quebec, Nunavut). The study is designed see changes in youth health (mental health, obesity, physical activity, substance use, bullying, dietary behaviours, academic achievement, school connectedness), determine whether changes to school health policies and programs are effective, and work directly with schools to implement change.
